Flood vulnerability and damage assessments are vital to understanding current and potential future floodrelated consequences.

The Nordic countries are comparable in many aspects and the purpose of the review is to investigate how Nordic countries perform flood related vulnerability and risk assessments.

In this review, methods used by national authorities in Denmark, Finland and Norway are examined, and for Denmark and Finland, focus has been on methods used in implementing the EU Floods Directive.
